Pipe stands

Where can I find a good price on some pipe stands? Best price I can find is about $70

These look like a good tool to use for leveling frames on an uneven floor.

Check equipment / farm auctions or even some flea markets.

The best price I could find on new ones is $70 each. I can get a pair of 6 ton jack stands for $35 and then modify them using some 3/4" all thread and tube that I have in the shop. Should be able to make my own pipe stands at the hight I need for much less...

Well, here is what I ended up with. 2 pair and I only have about $70 in them.
Started out with a set of 3 ton stands but had to weld a plate on the bottom for more stability, then went to the 6 ton stands for the second set.

Yes, they are similar to the rv stands, just taller and beefier..
