gun owners ?

Bruno the 22 Mag is versital it is a great plinker, will handle nice, will reach out a touch something, I shoot mine out 200 yrds +.. and when you get confy with it you can teach the boys to shoot it and not break their arms....and feel confident it WILL take out a Coyote at 100 yrds EASY.

this guys owes me some money , let me get back to his store today and see what else he has .......... he was pushing me in to the taurus piece , im sure he has the least amount in that one ......thxs for the input

if your only going to own one, I'd suggest a 12ga shotgun. Something like a Reminton 870, Mossberg 500 and a few others.

As far as pistols get a .357 with a 6" barrel, S&W is my choice.

I like the judge in a 3" chamber.

I wouldn't even consider a revolver or pistol as my only gun. A good shotgun or possibly a decent rifle would be a much better choice. If the worst case were to happen, a shotgun is simple easy to use and very effective. Any handgun takes a lot of continuous practice to be effective. With any single projectile firearm, you have to be accurate with a shotgun you only have to be close.

Good wheel guns go bang no matter what ammo you use or how dirty they are.

Been said already but I'd go for the 870 for around the house. For a handgun, I really like Glock. Simple, nothing really to look at, reliable....... just my experience, easy to clean and break down. I have a Ruger P97DC that I can't say anything bad about either but I carry either my Glock 23 or Glock 27. Only downfall is no safety on any of my handguns but the girls don't look twice at them and I do keep them locked in a safe except the one I'm carrying at the time.

Also Dave is right, a six shooter is about as reliable as they come, S&W probably about as good as they get. Kinda set it and forget deal and even easier to clean.

Nic e thing about alot of Shot Guns is they are so damn Versital..... Hunting Birds, Deer and game, Home Defence, survival Ect. They do have alot of cool ammo and accessories.

I'm sure i'm in the top 5 for having the most guns on this site. I say there's nothing like a shot gun being racked in the middle of the night. That shit will scare the crap out of anybody!!!

Mossberg 590 or a saiga 12 gage (that's a AK47 turned into a 12 gage shotgun)

WIth a dog, your house is to much trouble for some-one to get in and get out quickly. The next house without a dog is an much better target.

Another option would be to bludgeon the intruder with one of those 'swap cams'.

Dogs are very useful also, and I have two on hand at all times. The newest one is "Joe", a real friendly Boxer, but he does command some attention if he doesn't know you. The other is a mixed breed Border Collie, and he is kind of noisy when something isn't quite right. Great early warning devices, and they are great companions. Get you a good Heeler or Catahula and they will teach that ornery calf a thing or two also. Heelers are some great family pets and loyal as they come, and mean as a rattler if you don't belong there. Good deal to have dogs around kids too. Lot of learning about life with a dog around.

Them Saiga shotguns are some sweet guns. $$$$$ though
