Gunk on Oil drain plugs Empty Gunk on Oil drain plugs

I have this Black, paste like Gunk on the oil drain plug magnets, Its metallic, nothing shinny, nothing course,
almost like a graphite feel. Is this just stuff that the filter isnt picking up? I use the Wix Racing Filters, Maybe
I should switch to the Jomar and see if there is a difference.

Any Ideas.

Thanks for the response. I will be trying the jomar filters maybe they will trap more of the stuff.

it has to get to the oil filter threw the oil pump , more magnets in the pan!

As Mr Freelander noted but I would add in addition...

The molybdenum disulfide, zinc and lithium additives found in assembly goop and or paste are paramagnetic. I see this on magnetic drain plugs frequently...

Just a mixture of ring and cylinder wall break in garbage and some or all of the above.
