E85 builds???

Anyone built a 460 just for E85? and if so care to share your combo??

Started out with a 547 on E85 and now 580.
If you search you will find more. I like the performance and the low fuel cost. Engine temps are easy to keep low and the exhaust is sweet smelling.

I'll list the 547 motor because I'm not there yet with the 580.
D9 block, mildly worked on SCJ heads, 4.5 stroke 4.400 bore, 13.5 compression with flat tops.
Solid roller in the 270/280 range at .680 lift, 6.8 steel H beams, lightly worked over Victor intake.
1050 two circuit dominator from Horsepower Innovations built for E85. The rest doesnt count for power.
The 3100 pound car went 9.62  many times at 142 with a C-6 foot braking and a full exhaust. 

E85 aspects that I dont like.
Hard to read the plugs for mixture and heat. I am ready to go to a wide band. The car sees some street use and it sucks the fuel.

People will say that the fuel mix varies too much. I have not found that problem with the BP station a few miles from my house.

I like the E85 and ran one car on it for a year. the problem i have is the fuel tank happens to be too small (under 2 gallons Yea it the dragster in my avatar) . it good for up to 15:1 on compression just just have to have the right tune up. I too have one of Eric's cars and we done some minor tuning glitches till i took his advice and went with a power valve to clean up the idle and low speed drivability. I will get the fuel tank address this coming winter and have a 2nd carb built so both cars will be on e85

572" Motorsport block, 4.5" Crower Crank, 6.7" Carillo(sp) rods, Bullet roller cam, Comp roller vavle train, roller cam bearings, Blue Thunder heads. Victor 460 Dominator intake, 4.5" bore JE forged pistons, 12.7:1 comp. Dyno'd with 1050 Dominator with 110 race gas.... 811hp @ 6250 727tq @5000 then with a E85 converted 1150 Dominator 825hp @ 6250 747tq @ 5000. In a 1964 Fairlane 500 Prostreet. :D

I am in the process rright now D1 block, cast crank 501, flat tops 12.8-1 , max ported A429's, mild solid roller 248/260 @ .050, Victor dominator manifold, 1150 9377 converted to 2 circuit , I ran out of money at this point still need front and mid plate, fuel pump and Powerglide parts. I can't afford to back half the car so I'm stuck with 10" of tire on the back. My car currently run 10.80's to 10.90's with the 347 @ 2620 sarting line weight. I'll be looking for 10.0's-10 teens at my local track(2500 actual elevation) There is some good info for carb conversion at the now defunct Motorsports Village website http://motorsportsvillage.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=21
