well im looking to start my 2 year build with new engine combo -what cubic inch would you build ?

im looking at sending heads off to have them cnc ported and chambers done.new diamonds pistons and mgp aluminum rods

im looking at either 4.50 inch stroke with 4.6200 bore which is 605 -or destroking it and turning it a little harder at 8200-8500 which combo would be better for the c-head ?

whats the maximum bore on a a-460 block ?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated .....thanks

the fms block can be had with 4.5 bore now so i'd think 4.5x4.5 would be hard to beat.

4.500 or 4.750 stroke will get you 1100hp with the correct parts.

not saying its the best, depends on the work on the c heads, but 4.750 x4.600 works well

yes sir i am im wanting to be able to make 1600 safely to run outlaw limited street /radial at norwalk and milan i know i wont be in top of field but should be able to run low 5,s

just my opinion ..... i believe the rules state 2800 lbs for bbnos ??? i would run the 4.5 deal less shock on that tire ....... @ 1100 -1200 which a c-headed nos deal should make will get you there at that weight .....add the nitrous and she should run some 4.50-4.60

Talk with Phillip, he did a 645 if I remember correctly. Made 1204hp with a single 1450 QFX n/a. https://www.429-460.com/t10158-1204?highlight=1204

Not much to.go on I think I'm gonna do the 614 deal turn it to 8200 ish with spray should make good power
