Another hp guess

Im waiting for the shop to get done with my block which will be ready to assembly when i get it home.
Im kinda wondering about what hp range it will about be in.
580ci
2.35 int valve
a460 head, figuring 440 int flow
The int has the ports smoothed and gasket matched
839/780 lift, 283/302@.050, 316/340@ .020, 114 lsa
1250 or 1300 cfm carb
im wanting .002 to .002.5 on the rods and .003 on the mains.

14:1 cr and gonna put it on a 112 cl.
Im hoping for at least a 1000. or do i need more air flow?

You should make between 960 to about 975. You need a few more cubic inches, and a little more airflow for 1000 Hp. Probably get some custom pistons with a lightweight ring package and finesse things.

do you figure440 on the heads or do you know? i figured mine were more than they were too but 360 was the real numbers.

That's alot of horse power to me.
2850lb, c6, 6100 stall, 3.73, 28 0r 29'' tire.
About what 1/8 mile et will 975hp take this car if it hook up?

probly looking at a 5.75 to a 5.95 in the 1/8th

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! I hope trick flow aint doing it like that. The 2.30 int is what they say flow 412cfm out the box. I think the 2.35's is a little better. Anyway what ive done is polished all ports smoothing sharpness out of the short turns and sharp edges out of the bowls/pockets.

ok,so you have TFS heads? they should be what they say.mine were ald A460's that did'nt come with flow #'s.

please post your numbers after you get it done i would like to know the results of your improvements and good luck i know years ago when i went and made my first 10 second pass i got sick bad then when i dropped a second it happened again a good friend of mine let me make 3 passes in his 8 second camaro once again it got me it only happens when you go faster its the first time you actually feel good about tossin your cookies like i said keep us posted i for one want to know if it feels cool thanks
