Eddy head 460 with icon pistons

we will see what i do on intake may use the viktor i dont know but i already have it , i have cam on its way . Shortblock getting built and should have done by thanksgiving ( going hunting for a week in Nov)

i prefer stock hood look but ....want to get most i can and if that me getting a cowl hood and using viktor i will

need to order correct springs for my heads tonight

need to get an oil pan for foxbody

I have an msd brand new in box crank trigger distributer may sell short one , this combo i dont think i will need it and could get a regular msd pro billet with a 6al box

What cam did you get?

good deal , but think im going to get a baffled pan from moroso to try to get everything i can ... i recall blake or randy malik having a thread on Hp just in the oil pan on dyno with correct baffling ect

maybe it doesnt matter and i will use a pan like that ....it is a good deal for sure

been working on car itself but have everything to get this motor going besides carb now
doing a rear end now and hope the 4.10's will be fine

33 spline axles in a 8.8 5 lug with drums ( got 2 sets of shoes using primary's)

6500- 6700 rpm ish with glide and 29.5 tire .....hopping 10.00-10.50 range

its coming but ...longer than i want though

shop im having assemble the shortblock called

i need new pistons ...cylinders are fine but pistons are worn by wrist pin area bad enuff he wants me to come take a look
this engine was together years back , all was getting done was being re-ringed and balanced

so my options now are order another set of KB hypers .....or get a set of forged pistons and why its there punch it .040-.060 over

Kb has hypers #401 that would give me in the 13.1 compression range but dont think i need it


my other option is to look into a stock stroke forged setup ...always somthing cars coming along great will post some pics up but a little step back now

due to being on more of a budget and not looking to spend 700 $ on a set of pistons

Seems like you could find some forged TRW's and cut new valve reliefs if you want to keep the budget down?

Seems like I remember Paul Kane selling some forged stock stroke pistons for about $550 a set. I believe that they were similar in specs to the TRW L2443NF but a better quality. I can't find the thread now, maybe you could message him.

Ordered some icon flat tops forged....should be around 12.1 with my heads

So I have to decide now having forged pistons and h beams

Keep comp 294b cam or get a roller cam...either way I feel better knowing about having forged pistons

Wasn't thrilled when I got a call from machine shop to say the pistons were no good ...but same time is what it is and I'll be better off
