I have two sets of those in a 10.5 width. I don't know the metric crap too well Laughing For us we haven't really needed much to hook, just enough to heat them up. Little 1st gear smoker. Just my experience, may be different for your setup.

Edit- I will have to check the pressure.

Do you even know what the difference in drag radials and slicks are?

On my friend's mustang we found 16 psi worked good. Just enough burnout to clean and smoke them.

when i was running 275 drag radials my truck seemed to favor 15 psi and a short burnout, 1st gear shift to second gear, bring rpms up to 4500 and let off the brakes and wait for the tires to bite as your rolling out of the water.... Sounds long but its only a couple seconds

well I guess the, "I have two sets of those in a 10.5 width" response threw me off. My bad.

MT 275 dimensions are sidewall width 11.0, tread width 9.5, height 28.0, and roll out of 87

my truck is #3870 but nose heavy. i have run some good 60ft and some bad like you said track condition are key. at dragweek i try a lot of diff. pressure 14psi seem to work best for me. i think the burn out is important i use second gear till i see smoke and burn out of box. third set and still playing with them hoosier dr hook better at track for me but are $hit for wear and the road.

Quick correction, the one's I run are indeed the 275/60/15. The NEW ones I just got are the same style tire but the size is 10.5.

as far as wear is concerned with a three speed I would get the tires turning and get into third as fast as possible. other than that with a vehicle that heavy you will just have to play with it. neither the MT or Hoosier tire should be driven on the road.

Those are not radials. Completely different. You treat et streets just like slicks

Have you found a good pressure yet? I'm trying some new ET streets and I haven't raced yet. They are at 35psi at the moment.

When I ran 28x12.50 et streets on the maverick I ran anywhere from 11.5-12.5psi. Of course it weighed less than 2700 with me sitting in it. Laughing

I have never ran the et streets i here they work very well on stick car where dr wont hook my friend runs them in his 347 stick car at 12psi. i have run 12 in the dr but it was no better than 14psi so been at 13 to 14 psi each track is different

Car weight has a lot to do with it but I have seen a lot wider range in pressures in the drag radials that works for a particular combo. We plan on running 10.5-11.5 psi this year in our slicks but that is a whole different ball game.

We are going to run some 275 events this year and we have a good tune for those tires but I would rather put them on another set of wheels(that we don't have) because ours are 15x12. I would rather put them on a 15x10 preferably dbl beadlock.

Cool, I will keep an eye on the topic. I'm going to be running at Milan tomorrow with the new tires. These are ET streets, 26" by 10.5 (I think that's the overall width) with an aspect ratio of 60. The weather is getting nicer (knock on wood), Gary at Milan does a good job prepping the track. I will lower the pressure some and see how she looks. I only have like 3 qualification rounds so I hope I can get it straightened out.

Not sure on the weight, 70 maverick with a 68 302 swapped in, some purple hornies for exhaust at the moment, 8.8 rear end, no back seat...as of now.

What is the part number of the tire you are running? You are confusing the hell out of me. Are you running ET streets or ET Street Radials? It should be 3752, 3752R, 3753, or 3753R

that explains it. Summit always puts the old sizing crap on there instead of Mickey Thompsons size. The actual size is P235/60R15. The other number is the equivalent if they had to fit in the same space. 8.4" tread and 26.1"tall

You can fit the P275/60R15 easily on the Maverick. I had 28x10.5 slicks and 28x12.5 ET streets (same size) on mine so I would think a P295/55R15 would fit.

We took it in to a tire shop we have gone to before to have them fitted, the reciept says they are 10.5's Suspect Summit could have it messed up, we were only looking to go to 10.5's for right now, but later affraid
