When rollerizing a C-6 trans, how much do the bearings vs thrusts add to durability, or is it primarily done to cut frictional losses?
Thanks, Sheldon G

Thrust washers wear , contaminate the oil. Rollers don't and endfloat stays consistent. The rollers let a C6 spin over real free too Smile

I may be wrong, perhaps Greg or Frank will correct me if I am, but I would think intuitively that a roller generates less heat than a thrust washer. Not a ton of heat overall, but localized at the metal surface.
This should keep the oil healthier and metals in better condition.
