Other's may have differing opinions but with 13.5:1 in my Cleveland's NA I could run any Felpro gasket from the local NAPA with success, with the juice or a bad tune it will be different.

1011-2 is it any better than the 1011-1 ?

Don't know if there is any performance advantage but we've just had good luck with that one number.

I think that's kind of like the 1018 in the 460 world. I am going back with PT's myself and the 1018 where not that much more. They held up to a lot of spray but, did not have much compression. I'm with Falcon on the stock Felpro's, they worked for me. They say the 1011-2's go better with aluminum heads to keep corrosion down in the add also.

1011-1 has a thicker compression.   .041

1011-2 has a thinner compression.  .039

Both good we use 1011-2 also

A 1011-1 is a bit stronger and has a pre-flatened STEEL wire "O" ring under the metal cylinder bead overlay.

A 1011-2 is a bit thinner and has a pre-flatened COPPER wire "O" ring under the metal cylinder bead overlay.

A 1011-1 has the tendency to brinnell a groove in an aluminum head which is not all bad if you continue to use THAT gasket.

We had good luck going back after being run one night of racing and re-torqueing them on our 14:1 Cleveland.

I don't remember the felpro number, but it was the standard parts house rebuild gaskets the blue ones.

Never lost one after we started doing that, even on the spray.

People are just to lazy to re-torque head bolts/studs on a high performance engine.  After all, the gasket companies ads say you don't need to do it ... you bet.
