http://www.teamjdm.com/2007-2014-shelby-gt500-camshaft-upgrade/ These guys make some big claims. I believe they are doing LT headers, resonator delete, and a few other tricks to get the numbers.

VMP TUNING
they can get over 850 hp to the wheel with out cams. from what ive seen cams on the 4v arnt worth money or the trouble. if its set on kill then yeah...

ive always wanted a shelby . this one is a 2012 svtpp with nav and glass roof , vmp tuned at over 875 to the rear wheels , waiting on custom wheels and cam install .... then will take it to the track and brake something Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

You have a lot of other stuff to do before cams are an issue. The stock cams are actually great.

Boost, fuel system, crank, rods, pistons, etc...

I think justin at vmp only was able to squeeze 30 hp after a 1500.00 Cam and spring change. And the headache of installing them muther f'ers..

The wife and I had a 2010 Shelby. I put a/r long tubes and off road x pipe on it with ford racing axle back mufflers. Wake the freakin dead and stop your heart on a cold start in the morning.. Loud as shit when on it. Purred like a kittin at idle. I had a a whipple/ ford racing CJ throttle body. Jlt cold air all waiting to go in. Only needed injectors and a tune. Well we got rid of it due to a baby on the way.. NO regrets. Any way were getting gas one day and a turd rolled up in a Z O what ever the shit vette. Just sounded line a pro stock. She looks at me and said.. Why doesn't our Shelby sound like that... I shook my head... If you only could under stand the pain and suffering it would take to make it sound like that. For only 30 more h/p. That's one reason I didn't mind seeing it go. I love the sound of engines just as much as how much power they make. I've got a old 2nd gen lightning instead to play with. No where near as expensive. Everything I've bought so far is used except for the short block. Ford racing S/b. I bought a used 3.4Whipple for it. And used bullet cams. Next is some trick flow heads... These mod motors are expensive to go fast.

yes , decided on the whipple 2.9 for growth and to keep stock hood. I understand that 800-850 rwhp is threading a thin line., but i wanted to have a muscle car idle Smile

yes spoke to Jason and he said he didnt like the cams he put in , some comp deals. Most guys using the JDM, Bullet and L and M grinds are seeing 80-100 rwhp ......
