I still have a short block for sale that has dome pistons that were profiled for the old style AR Cobra Jet cylinder heads. I have someone interested but he just purchased a new set of SCJ-B's. Will these new heads work with the old style pistons?? Or has the combustion chamber been moved or changed enough that they wont??

Not a guru but I believe the valves were moved requiring different pistons.

The SCJ/P51 heads will require a renotch of the intake relief .

Is that all they will need Lem? Will the domes interfer with the combustion chamber at all or just put new valve relifs in them and I'd be good to go? thanks Joe

The DOME's on the older pistons are in a completely different location than what the SCJ chamber shape needs which is also different from the P-51 cumbustion chamber; (although the valves on the P-51's are in the same location as the SCJ's.)

The DOME's will NOT interchange.
