Thread inserts...

Had a rocker thread bolt mishap with my A-460 heads.......pulled 4 out on cyl 1 + 2.......have measured the bolts, and realize that 1/2" of thread is not enough..

So, I have the motor back out, and will be installing "keyserts" which is a 5/8 - 11 threaded insert.......is this what most folks use?

Oh, and longer bolts will be used....

look and see if you can get the thin walls keen serts..... just use the regular bolts when done.... you will love them 10000 times better than Heli Coils...

yep but these are the thin wall sets..... take a smaller primary hole....

Bolts? Is this a shaft rocker system?

Same thing happened to my TFS A heads. Replaced all 16 with Timeserts never had a problem since.
