This is for a friends 67 coupe.
Comp cams 34-336-4 magnum 292h
.560/.560 292* 110LC

C9VE heads, stock valves no port work etc

KB #857 forged pistons 9-1 compression 28cc dish

4.42 bore/ 4.14 stroke. 509 cubes.

First question, will edelbrock performer heads work with these pistons? It's a small cam so we're hoping the pistons dont need to be notched. Yeah, I'll check anyway :-)

He has a stealth and a victor, which would work better with either head? I think the stealth is for standard size ports. BTW, C6 with a 2500 or so stall and a 4.30 geared 9in. Pro street style car with 4 link, big tires etc. Pics here

This is intended to be a reliable cruiser with an occasional trip to the track. Ideas? HP expectations?

Thanks.

personally I think the TFS Streets would work better ... The reason is you have no compression and with 500 cubes the velocity will be there more for the TFS Streets than the Edlebrock..... cuz the ports on the Edelbrocks are bigger ports and flow and velocity will be less.... with the bigger ports.....

I'd look into a better camshaft if you haven't already prurchased the one mentioned.

I'd also try a RPM intake seeing the convertor is pretty tight.

First things first, how much does your friend have to spend to do a upgrade? Is around 5-6k ok?
