Where is Bruno? where is the mod? this is crazy, I make a meaningful suggestion and it turns into this. Thread is totally hi-jacked. Why in fuck should I have to go back and forth with people on here and or defend my idea. Its just that an idea, if you don't fucking like it don't fucking post on the thread. I see this shit all the time on here and no one does or says shit about it. This is some fucked up shit right here. But let me guess this will be deleted now. Oh well Rolling Eyes .

Its a damn shame that I had a conversation with some one the other day about this kinda thing. I was actually gonna have some one else ask a question about the danny bee cause I didn't want to here the bull shit about who I should've bought it from and people telling me to ask the person I bought from. That is sad imo. Sad

The problems I encountered with the Danny Bee where not addressed in the well provided instructions, I didnt' consult the person i bought it from, I didn't call the company..............I doubt any of them could have helped anyway as it was more a problem with my double pinned cam.............

Come to think of it I don't ever remember consulting the internet for any of my 2 dozen road bumps while assembling this last motor.

As a kid I stayed away from the "snap together" type model airplanes and trucks and such........always picked the ones that took a little more skill to put together.

Is it a bad thing to ask for help? no........... To be quick to get bent out of shape over something that really is not so.......sure.

I'm not a spelling major, I type a lot of humor in my posts, I dont type 2000 words a minuter so I get to the point.

you make a honest point
i am not much for the sticky's
lem makes a great point about that
and i myself have alot of questions when i put together a motor
some i figure out and some i ask on here
but for the most if you buy your parts from a good knowalgble
place or person they will tell you things that instructions wont
or help you make scence of it
i am in now way promoting lem
but i buy 99% of my parts from him
why?
well i get great service and tech help from someone that knows thease motors
not like fucking jeg's or summit might just as well call them BBC'S parts
i am not saying you dont buy parts from venders on here or anything
that is non of my busness
but just ask question's
maybe it was asked before but heck i do it
and i will most likly do it again
sometimes it takes hrs to dig throu a search to find your answer
and is just easyier to ask
just dont ask how much power a stock block will handel
that shit is just plan wore out
lol
sometimes i do see a question get bashed
and yea we all need to chill
and NO ONE should ever feel like they should not ask a question cause they
dont wanna be beat down for it
it can be hard for a new guy on here
sometimes i gotta stay off here for a few days and chill out
than come back
i have stuck my foot in my mouth a few times
i understand were your comming from
and i hope we all can chill and help promote this fourm and help out the new guy
i am stilll kinda new to this
and ask dumb questions but they do get answered

As far as the danny bee I read the instructions like 10 time and I have a good understanding of it, but of course I do have questions. Like if the cam is double pinned and the d.b is double pinned, insn't it possible to install the top cam gear 180 out?

Charles how can you get the gear 180* out the crank and the Cam neither one know which one is doing. It makes no difference wheather the crank key is up or down as long as they are set the crank goes 2 complete rounds to make a full stroke. so the cam one round, So either way you are either one rotation or the other, no difference just one is in line with the cam timing..... and it makes no difference which one it is....

as for the shaft rockers I would prefer the stud and stud girdle over a shaft any day, the shaft has the rocker perch cut down, and it only has the bolts holding them to the head.... The studs are deeper in the heads and they have the stud girdle on top to stablize the studs. so the way I see it is the studs are sturdier.... because all 8 studs on each head are connected with the stud girdle and clamped to keep movement to an absolute minimum.....

Hey Randy, those were examples I gave. I had figured those things out. And as for the top gear on the danny bee I was sayin if the the cam has 2 pins I thought it would be possible to put the top gear on and have the cam up side down per say. Since I haven't installed it yet it may become more apparent when I go to install it.

I was just thinking If I had known before hand about the mods needed for the jesels I may not have gotten them.

If I had known that you needed a 12 pt crows foot that you can't find except through mac or snap on in akit that cost 300 bucks to bolt down the 18 bolt TFS A460 heads, I might of just stuck with the 10 bolt deal. Hell I might not even spray my motor and if I do it will be no more than a 250 shot.

If I had known that the cometic gasket requires a certain finish on the heads and deck surface I might of just used a felpro.

I bought the danny bee for the ease of cam swap, Had I known that they made a cam accessable front cover I may have bought that instead.

All these things I discovered the hard way sort of speak. I just wanted to share my experience with others so they would'nt make the same mistakes before hand. And gain this was just a suggestion or idea. I never thought I would have people coming at me trying to explain why its useless. I got people telling me to find another hobby cause I can't afford to pay some one to do stuff for me. I'm a do it ur selfer. 1 person made it seem like ur not suppose to ask questions. That kind of thing is not right. Good nite all. confused

Charles I understand yes you are right some parts they do not give the right perspective on how much you really have to modify other stuff to fit,,, Charles one thing I love about the DannyBee yes is you can change the cam out easier, but I like the fact I can change the cam timing at the track in like 1 minute and throw the timing light on it and set it and done.... This is especially nice when you are working with a cam that you don't know how it works you can bump it forward a degree or so or back a few to find out where the sweet spot is..... Sure Beats the heck out of tearing the front of the engine down to change it and having to degree it again....

My point is sometimes the questions you need to ask can't always be answered by the internet.

The second point is it would be answered better by just coming outright and asking it..............nobody ever reads the stickys.

If you lived close I'd just have you bring it over and we'd figure the deal out together.............hands on is much easier than over a keyboard.

I agree hands on is way better than key board sometimes it is really hard to explain how to do so without just showing how first hand.... I agree with the sticky Look at the Pro Comp sticky it is up and seems NO BODY see's it and still ask about that junk........also it is hard to relay over the key board with out someone thinking you are saying they are goofy. and in reality it's not really that way.......

Suggestion for a sticky - Page 2 Empty I call total bull sh-t on Lem Evans

Post  deliveredfast January 31st 2010, 9:29 pm

I call total Bull Sh-t on Lem evans. I made a simple suggestion on this thread and got hassled. Some one else makes a suggestion for a sticky he doesn't bother them at all.
http://www.460ford.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142884

What a 2 faced person. I always felt like I got treated a lil different, but this kinda confirms it. So I now say
F-ck Lem Evans and the horse he road in on. And that goes to who ever else that does'nt like it. Whats right is right and whats wrong is wrong.

Well I will say this I buy all my parts from BFEvans, I know I can go to Scummit or Jegs and get a little better price but I for one will say when I order something from him it will be here on time and be right... or shawn or Lem are finding out why....and no matter what you guy's think Thats worth a hell of a lot to me.......and if it doesn't fit or work right he will tell me and explain to me why and how to fix it........
