what spline on the axle and how long measuring from end to bearing face?

That I do not know. It just came out of a 78 Ford F150 2WD.

Couldn't you count the splines and measure them for length???

Yeah I could. I need to get my ass up and take out the rear end from under the truck but I've been busy lately. I will try to start taking the rear end out tomorrow and examine everything.

The F150s were all 31 spline as far as I have ever seen (not sure about pre-70). The overall width is usuall 65 1/4.

Yeah, I was thinking it was 31 spline didn't know the length though.

The engine is a good runner. I had the carb rebuilt but for some reason will keep flooding. I don't know if the mechanic didn't put something in right. I think the engine has a little cam in it...I don't know though. Sounds like it. I had the plugs and wires changed awhile back. Will be due for another oil change.

I think who ever owned this 79 before me was going to fix it up for bogging but didn't finish with it.

I'm in Atkinson County.

Do you still have the motor?
