I run mostly 1/8 mile so what is your 1/8 mile and 60 ft time with the c6 and current set up ? What stall speed are you running? I am curious as to what the difference will be ?

i been looking around all day, kinda confused, i know most use the adapter plate for the flexplate which is fine, however if using a ford housing is the adapter still needed? the car currently doesnt have a midplate in it, however im leaning towards a chassis over the winter for it, now with that said and i were to use the midplate, whats done to starter for it can reach? is the midplate area cleared so it fits in the normal holes in the bellhousing?

easiest way is to have the mid plate made to the same pattern as the stock block plate. Then the starter/flex plate relationship doesn't change...

Depending on the thickness of the midplate you may have to either shim the converter, and or possibly extend the nose.

I also have a Keith Fulp designed mid plate in mine with the Reid adapter bell. and the Meziere flex.

When I ran the JW stuff they would send a little steel adapter for the back of the crank to mate up with the Chevy converter snout..

I could never keep them tight in the crank so I ended up making my own.

how can that be? the starter bolts to the tranny so if it is moved back .100tho the starter has to move with it

mid plate is made same pattern as stock block plate so it fits between the starter and the tranny...

I know but they are bolted together , so both will move say .100, that throws off the starter to flex plate spacing unless you shim out the flexplate too or am I missing something

no,the plate could be 3" thick and it wouldn't matter. the starter sets on the front side of the plate so it don't know how thick the plate is.

It’s easy to get confused. All the mid plate thickness affects is the converter spacing.
