i have a small scratch (looks like one anyway) in #4 cylinder wall about 1 inch down it runs front to back not up and down any ideas what this is? spot is 1 1/2 inches long can just barely fell with penny and nail

Cracked cylinder wall?

X2 on the crack.

How much is it bored? Was it sonic checked? If it is cracked and you have a bunch of cash into it you can sleeve it.

Is this a fresh block or one you have been using? If you have been using it, what caused you to tear it down for a look-see?

stock block 4 bolt splayed caps block is 40 over its a 523 ford with procharger had a head gasket problem is why it was tore down

Are you sure it was the HG or maybe the cracked cylinder

cometic gaskets came apart when heads where pulled gaskets came off in pieces yes i will get pics on here 2morrow
