Star is definitely shorter than the Moroso. I have used both but the star is the way to go IMO. I had to bracket the Moroso and go below the motor plate but I do run the short snout crank.

no the mandrel is a modified piece from rons. I got it years ago with a toilet setup and have used it ever since.
