Ron's fuel vacuum pump
Does anyone know how much vacuum these pumps pull? I am running the alky injection kit and this pump would be used on a 521/532 combo with the rugular oiling and pump system so I don't want to pull over 10" WC.
Is anyone else running their pumps and have you measured it?

I'm not aware of your pump but, 10" will be an easy deal....12" seems not to be an issue. I'd look for a vacuum pump that would pull 15" or better and use an external regulator to reduce to where you want to be.
Re: Ron's fuel vacuum pump
If you are talking about the pumps sold by killerons (James Monroe) those pumps are Star pumps. No better brand out there. I have the "Standard" pump on my 598. With alky injection it's set at 10" with the Vac adjustment just about dead center of the adjustment range. The same setting with a gas carb, breaking in on the dyno, pulled 16. Can't go wrong with one of these.

Yes it looks like they are all star vacuum pumps. Where are you guys putting the vacuum/boost gauge to read from? Pics would be nice also

My passenger side valve cover is drilled/tapped for a 1/8" barb fitting on the rear facing the firewall. We set the vac on the dyno and I check it from time to time with a hand held gauge and it always has read the same. I do clean the inside of the pump at every opil change with about 1/2 a can of carb cleaner into it with the engine running. No gauge in the car but I do have a logger with an open channel. I plan to get a vac sensor and hook it up. Just never got around to it yet.
Mounted the pump to the plate. Took a little doing, but I set the pump at distance from the mandrel so it uses the same belt as the fuel pump. Only need 1 spare in the trailer. I just added a pulley to the Ron's crank mandrel to drive it. Same tooth pulley as the fuel pump. Also, since I run a Boss 9 short crank snout I had to shorten the mounting stand for the vac pump to being it right against the motor plate or else it stuck out too far for the pulley setup to align.
In this pic you can see the barb fitting on the back of the valve cover.
