what would the effects be of running nitrous for let's say a mile long high speed pull? 250+ shot on a 6-700 hp engine.

My guess would probably be "click, click, boom" somewhere past the 1/2-3/4 mile point unless you really were conservative on the tune

It is done more then you might think. We have worked with several teams to do this and have won the Hot Rod Ohio Mile Shootout at over 200 MPH with guys on nitrous. Here's one Jay Bell drove last year to over 237 MPH.

It uses a 569ci big-block Chevy built by Chris Seidle. It has a Sonny Leonard top end with CNC-ported Brodix heads and is fed by a Pro-Systems SV1 single-barrel carb. It’s good for more than 900 hp on its own, but a 400hp direct port nitrous system from Induction Solutions gives it the extra power to hit a best of 237 mph.

I never ran nitrous on anything of mine.... Yet. For years I have wanted to run the Maxton Mile in N.C. Just to say I did it. I was just curious if you'd have to richen it up a little over what would be typical for a drag tune? Good to know it has been done.

Run a wide band O2 and set it where it is supposed to be, which is certainly not lean, LoL.
