New Personal Best

Finally turned this 598 loose full bore.

Charlie Evans C460 heads on a 598 SVO block and a Lem Evans spec cam.

2650 pound 67 Mustang. 4.30 gears with a 33 inch tire and a powerglide.

7.97 @ 171 mph and a 1.15 sixty foot.

Never touched the chassis from the regular super gas set up so pretty sure there is a bit more in the sixty.

fun ride. first time in the sevens.

Thx guys... And yes Charlie it was awesome.. That launch and run up through first gear was very cool...Dont get that in Super Gas..

No I skipped the door Warz zoo thing... I was just running the local Super combo event. Original plan was to go from there to Edmonton and try top Sportsman at the Rocky Mountain nationals. |However with the wet weather we only got one time run before eliminations so I stayed in super rod.

You coming out to Medicine Hat for the National open July31-Aug 2 ? we ran 7.43 @ 187mph on 1 kit this weekend tuning for it ,were going to turn on the 2nd kit for a pass but we ran out of time , would really like to be running 7.teens @ 193 or 4mph to really screw with all the dragsters in top comp!

What kind of density altitude do you guys have up there? That's moving regardless of good air or not. Just curious.

Super Gas does get boring after a few years.

That run was at Mission BC. Density altitude runs anywhere from 250-2500. I think it was right around 1200 or so that day.

DA at Medicine Hat on the weekend was 4800 - 5500 ft actual alt is 2250 ft
