combustion chamber softening

I have spoke with 3 different company's that does this , one does a 3 degree cut , one a 7 degree And the other a 10 degree , what degree cut do you nitrous guys use ?

Did they ask what cylinder head you have?

No cut.... That .110 quench tho.....

bes does the 3 , champion and RFD does the 7 and fast forward race engines does the 10

the way I understood it was they won't to leave a .200 quench pad from the bore size . how deep they go before with the cut I don't know

fast forward told me that on a 3 degree the next mill job would probably cut that out and that the 10 degree is more affective

I failed to ask if it would even be worth doing on a 350 to 400 shot , a lot of stuff I read people are doing this on multiple kits to help the engine live

One degree doesn't take but .0175" per inch. So, starting .200" off the bore and going but 3* would not get one much on a chamber like the SCJ deal on the right.

Naw....I'd just jack the piston down in the hole

yes the 3* cut is a waste of money with the big shots of nos.the 10* or bowl cut is what most use in combonation of droping the piston in the hole for the big nos shots.

what's considered big shots ?

above 3-400 shot

got Another piston last night , buying Pistons is getting old ,

race gas is a little cheaper than aluminum. Might want to add a little fuel.
