piston rings  Empty piston rings

ok which rings should i get since i have to tear the motor down im thinking the total seal gapless in a 4.42 bore or should i get the 4.425 and file fit them.
the ring pakage on the pistons are 1/16th 1/16th /3/16th unless there is a better ring set to go with.

It depends how much you like filing rings.. me, it is my least favorite part of a build. besides scraping gaskets, lol
seriously, file fit will allow you to set clearance and 1/16" rings are ok but kinda bulky anymore, however, that is what most shelf pistons have..

I don't think gapless are worth the extra expense. Just my personal opinion.

If a non file fit set gives you .020-.022 on the top ring , you're good to go. Filing rings is my least favorite part of building engines.

Oh come on. There's nothing finer than putting in some ear buds and filing some rings.

a 552 sand drag motor running meth 14.1 compression cam is 680 lift
