I had some blue thunders I was gonna run,but after Blake spent countless hours on the porting,we were ready to fire the engine. When it wouldn't hit, we took #1 plug out and was cranking it and water shot out. Bad deal from the machine shop I used. I learned my lesson. I've purchased a set of A429's to put on it this winter.
Found the heads were cut too deep for the new seats. Just one head, they must have figured it out on the second one............... dang I need to clean my shop............
Starter hit the oil pan, with a little help, I got it. Lol.

Thanks a bunch Rick. My kids don't ask for a lot. Being a dad to them is an honor and a blessing.

Blake,
My shop is still a mess but It's getting a little better. It got real messy when I had to rebuild the lift cylinders and tilt cylinders on my bobcat. Mixture of dirt and hydraulic oil LOL.

Red helped me put axle bearings and seal in mine.............. WOW what a mess. When I bought it a bearing had had failed and cut almost half way through the axle. I had to weld it up and turn it back down, dang parts are high for them.

Re: Old spy photo
Yes parts for skid steers are outrageous! That's why I rebuilt my cylinders for $25 each instead of buying new ones for $500 each.
Also had to buy a new dirt bucket. Dad was digging up roots and broke the bucket again; it's been welded up so many times that it now resembles a puzzle
I've since banned him from the bobcat unless he wants to buy a stump bucket
So Red, Estimated date/time for first launch?

Maverick, no fiberglass as of yet. I'm probably gonna do a fiberglass hood when the time comes. Forward facing pro stock type scoop maybe? Not sure though. All the interior will be aluminum, except for the seats and dash. I kept the factory dash. Reminds me of driving it to school when I was 16. Lol.

Re: Old spy photo
I worked my butt off, trying to save weight everywhere possible in my car. "Glass nose, bumpers, doors, deck...aluminum interior tin...didn't add anything to my mild steel car that didn't meke it go, stop, steer or keep me from being killed. Final tally, 2540 lbs. with my 200 lb. carcass in the seat.
Based on that and the 2700 lb. Ranger I raced, I'd guess you'll be in the 2800 range. It oughta boogie.
Now hurry up.

Re: Old spy photo
I scaled it out with just about everything on or in the car minus the aluminum sheet metal. It weighed 2035 pounds. So I'm hopin around 2400#. And yes, I'm a hurrying.
