ti valves and springs

what I have is 604 at 18 to compression on metho.
profiler heads the 205 series with TI valves, roller cam with around 800 lift 280 290 duration, now the springs are about 30 thou off from coil bind.
how long will the nextek triple springs last at a guess, and what issues am I looking for.

needs to be at .060" , .030" to tight and you'll end up breaking valve train and springs

Check your installed height and psi.you may go with a +.050 retainer to get where you need to be.

Sounds like somebody didn't order long enough valves, especially with just an .800" lift cam. Like the others have said, you need to be .060" away from coil bind. Your Manley NexTek triples have a top and a bottom. The chamfered edge is the top, and make sure they are installed that way. How's your rocker arm geometry looking?

Is it really .030 from coil bind or .030 from what the spring is rated from coil bind? Have they been checked? What the spring calls out as coil bind and what they actually are is often not the same.

I do have 60 thou, but Charlie is smack about the valves not having enough stem.
this is the same engine that landed here from the USA with the smashed lifters still floating around the sump, when it was first run it had a bigger cam around 900 lift and it smashed the lifters and they put in the current cam and sent it to me.
hoping to get the next season out of it and then rebuild the heads, just can not afford any more at the moment as I have spent another 20 thousand since it got here trying to fix what they have farked up. so far this engine has taken 18months and is has cost me $48 000. original quote 23 000.

Is that Dynoflo out of Reno Nevada? I had a bad experience with them as well.

yeah they were from Nevada, personally I think they should donate their tools to a college and forget about cars.

You are being kind. I am too embarrassed to tell you what they did to me. My problems with them were years ago, I see there hasn't been an improvement. We rolled the dice and lost.
