I tried out my new air pan and x-treme lid. Decent air last night, 10.87 at 122.63 and just before dark I ran a 10.81 at 123.24 for a new best ET. Lots of new best 60fts with the best being 1.513 on almost worn out ET Drags. This morning I went 10.809 at 123.51 and backed it up with a 10.795 (new personal best ET) at 123.43 before the bracket bash started after lunch. I beat a crotch rocket in the first round, lost to a drag bike in the second round - spun a little and he was hard on the brakes at the stripe. I finally made note of my oil pressure under braking a few times: 50+psi so no issues there. And the issue with my rad pushing out water is done thanks to a new $6 rad cap. Full rad and running cooler. Basically the air pan and top was good for a tenth so it was worth the time and $100. Back to class racing tomorrow. The air temp was around 26*C today, not very humid.

10:1 468 with D2 PI heads and h beam rods with hypers. Offy single plane with 850 carb. .605 lift SFT cam, C6 trans with a 4000 stall.

D2OE-AB 429 police interceptor heads. Similar to the SCJ castings with slightly smaller ports and valves.

Yeah I was happy to say the least. The best part was my wife came to the track yesterday with our 3 little ones along with here aunt, uncle and grandfather for the first time. She has never been there to date to see me run. She has a new appreciation for drag racers and their passion for the sport according to her aunt. Her grandfather was glued to the seat, he said he could sit there and watch all day. The twins (Maggie and Sawyer) 4 and Sophie is 8, they got to watch daddy put down his two best times back to back so that was fun for them and me. Lots of pics and a nice family pic with the car in the background. Good day all around - back to business by myself this morning. It's really cool out this morning, might be another 10.7? In her today.

Nice job:D A cold air package will usually always worth a 1/10. I think a 1050 might give you another one. Have fun and it's always a good feeling when your family is there supporting you.Very Happy

My wife and kid go to every race as does my brother, also always have a lot of friends show up and help as well. Makes the whole experience that much better.

Brake troubles this morning - leaky rear wheel cylinder. Nothing a little polish from some emery cloth couldn't handle. Missed the one and only time trial so I was off on my dial but I still qualified 1/2 way up the ladder. Waiting for 1st round of eliminations now. Three new wheel cylinders to be bought this week. These were on the car when I got it. Lots of brakes yesterday - went for a warm up lap around the pits this morning and the pedal was crap! Got a little help from another broken racer and I'm back in business. Good pedal again.

Went 10.91 in the qualifying round, tough car in the other lane for round one so I dialed tight to give myself as much of a head start as possible. I had the stripe by a 1/2 car length and went 10.86 on a 10.90 dial....lesson learned that there are TWO pedals in the car LOL...Home now unloading the truck - long weekend - I'm done LOL
