Whats it going to be used for? All natural or some sort of power adder? Why 12:1? Seems like an odd desired compression ratio.

Engine rods Empty RODS

He wants a bracket motor.Going to run a alchol carb and single plane intake.Won'spend the money for Crower rods or Corillo rods and thats all I use.Just testing the waters to see what low buck stuff will work good enough for about 700 hp and 6800 rpm and hold togather. Any imput I will be grateful. thanks steve

I think you would have more than enough bolt with the 2000 series. Plus L19's are know to corrode. I guess that's the proper term. I'm running scat hbeams with the standard bolts at about your desired HP and rpm.

The correct condition for those bolts is that they are prone to "hydrogen imbrittlment" if they are not ALWAYS covered with some type of oil to keep them from the atmosphere.
I don't think EAGLE offers the 2000 bolt but, the L19's instead; (unless they have changed).

Preferably, I use the SCAT's with the 2000 bolts.

imo,Crower/Carillo rods are over kill in this build unless its in a high reving pulling truck engine. The Eagle rods and a Scat forged crank would serve him well. Smile

The eagle rods work fine and are a definete upgrade over the stock rods, use 2000 bolts instead of the L19 stuff.

Need a lot more info..... Cam tech has come a long way in the last 20 years. I'd definetly look into a roller.
