I don't have the motor completely apart yet after my unfortunate mishap at Indy last weekend but I know I will be buying a new crank for sure. All other things being equal (P-51 heads and possibly the same cam) how much more torque/hp could I expect going to a 4.3" crank from my 4.14". I was planning on getting the cast crank out of there eventually but now I know I need something different. I'm hoping the cam wasn't hurt but I'm not sure yet. If I can save the block it would have to be a 4.440" bore unless there is enough meat left to go 4.5". If I have to use my other block it will stay .030" over.

Now would be a good time to go to the 4.300" stroke crankshaft. You'll be glad you did.

Go 4.5 if you buying a new one and don't already have the 4.3.

As long as the compression height is 1.35 so if you have 6.7 rods go 4.5 stroke. If you have 6.8 rods then go 4.3 stroke.
