ran the truck Saturday night, ran the small tire class rim-36's and the pit was deep and nasty clay, made it about 160', swapped on the 38's for the big tire class (rims-49's) did pretty good until the last hill where the driveshaft came out and took out the transmission pan...

Glad its coming together. Now to add on little things like DRIVE SHAFT LOOPS to keep the broken shafts from beating your tranny again. I have a case and pan that are now junk because a broken joint allowed the yoke to flop around an tear the corner off the pan rail and ripping a piece of the case with it.

ive just finished cleaning mine, Hope thats not the case. but who knows ill look at it in a few minutes, i looked at my 4 spare transmissions... all ofem are the shallow pan and not the deep pan..

nope, just a 429 that i picked up from a guy give 400 for it and a transmission stuck it in there give another 90 for the 750 holley vac secondary and buun running it, that transmission is the stock one from the truck that I know for a fact hasn't had a rebuild in the last 20 years because my father owned the truck that long... only thing ive done to it was put in a transgo shift kit and changed fluid in it

But that tranny is done, when the driveshaft came loose it busted the case, and it also put a hole in the floor board, ive got a few extra trannys but i think there all 2wd model's
