Wanted: 6 Lug aluminum alloy trailer wheel

Looking for a spare aluminum wheel for my trailer. Alloy wheel with the holes and must be six lug for a trailer. 15"

not to hijack...............but I would like one as well if someone has a couple they dont need lol.

I did some searching and they can be purhcased new however the places selling them on the web also include the tire and I don't want their cheapy blow out specials

Damon, do yourself a favor and buy 5 16" wheels with E rated tires. It will be the best tire insurance you will ever buy. Not to mention piece of mind. JMO

Actually I would need 7 wheels, I have a triple axle

My trailer has Six of the alloy wheels plus one white spoke spare. I'm looking for another aluminum wheel so I'll have two spares.

I did do some research on the advantages of the 16" wheels however money's tight.

10-4, that would run up the cost of upgrading for sure.

what advantage would a 16 inch wheel have over a 15 other than getting a e load range tire(10 ply) versus a d load range(8-ply)?

I would say everything, but that would sound like a smart azz answer. There is not a 15" tire made that will stand up to the punishment a loaded enclosed trailer will dish out. Triple axles multiply the problem with all of the sidewall scrub. The best 15" with perfect conditions may last a few seasons, but a load range E might last for a decade. Ask me, I know. I have an eleven year old trailer that has had one blow out. Afterwords, all tires replaced..

Curt beat me to it. Better tire selection for the 16" tires. I need to measure and see if a 16" wheel and tire package would even fit. By the looks of things, they will.

We lost a tire on the way back from Columbus (Rear tire). I have a new tire already to replace the blowout. Just need to get it mounted.

ST225 75R 15 is the tire size and from what I've researched, some have good luck with them and some don't. However the E type 16" tire is much better and lasts longer.

16" wont fit my deal, I run a Maxxis load range D tire with good results, but I replace them every 3rd season whether they look bad or not, also replace the valve stems at the same time. I just want an extra rim to mount another spare, 2 is better than one lol.

let me now what you want we can still get the new alum. mod wheels in 15 or 16 for trailers

how much for 1 15" shipped to 73018?

I will check and see tomorrow and get back to you I may have a used one at the shop I will check when I get there I know I have 2 alum motorsports 5 lug not sure on the alum mod but I will check and see how much a new one is you need 6 lug or 5 lug

Jon have you tried the Power King Towmax they seam to wear better than the maxxis we been using them on pace trailers sent the first of the year they are alittle pricey thou

Jon it will be monday before I can get a price on it my boss is not working today and he has to set the price on the used ones.An I only have one and it has a tire on it but the tire is out of date but is a new tire,when I say out of date I mean it was made in 06 and we can't put it on for a new wheel and tire it is a good/year. We can't get the new ones right now the supplier we got the alum mods went out of business.We are in the process of trying to find a new supplier that carrys them.

No hurry, this is a second spare is all.

On the wheels do they have the ribits or are they the smooth type if they are the ones with the ribits you can oreder them from american racing wheels for $108 a peace the ones we carry is the smooth ones

I'll double check but believe they are smooth with holes like in the picture.

mine are smooth.

I should now something monday on the new ones we are suppose to be getting one in to see if they match ours if they do she will let me now what they are going to cost

I didn't see it mentioned, but the shorter sidewall of a 16 with the same overall height (compared to 15) makes a slightly easier to handle sitution when you do have a tire blow out at speed, as the trailer doesn't drop as far when it goes away.

Tire selection is greater in 16" these days, and if you currently have 15's might find that you can get a 16" in the same overall diameter as your current 15"ers, but with a better load rating. If you are considering going with 16s, and planning a second spare, why not invest in the future and make the secondary spare a 16"?

Carlisle makes a 15" Load range E trailer tire. cant help with the rims though.
