my small block went on the dyno this afternoon. Set up the way it was last race it made 667 hp. I was running fat last year. tomorrow morning in goes the M5. How much higher should I expect the horse power to climb?

we saw a 20hp and 12ftlb gain on our 2 carbed 306" SBF's w dynoed. You will need to go up on get approx 4-8 jet sizes, and it may want a degree or two less timing.

We've been looking into the afr heads because we would get a weight break for the valve angle. We have the tfs-r heads now and after all of the issues we've had with them they are leaving. They did make good hp though. We made right at 625 na with our little ole 9:1 370 inch motor.

Good luck.

well today they didn't get to fine tune the m5 alky. on the second pull it pooped a head gasket. grrrrrr

on the regular alky it made 688 hp @7000 with 572 torque @ 5500

what I found fascinating was the horse power gain from an increase in water temp with no other changes. from 672 @ 121 to 688 @ 129

I haven't been warming up the motor to a proper temp before a race. was costing me a lot of horse power. My temp guage was only reading 110 by the time I returned to my pit.
