Jimmy you back in town for a while on the gap thing I don't know on the nos but I know when I put the msd 6al in mine I went to 45 and it seams to run cleaner not as rich when idling.

the more cylinder pressure the less gap you will need to run.

Interesting topic........

6Al box.......0.035, popped and banged under load. Went to 0.030, then to 0.025, alot better but it still wouldn't rpm under load.

Finally went to a Digital 7 box, and now am back to 0.035...............and 6 tenths faster... Rolling Eyes

Its all about cylinder pressures, and the correct amount of spark needed.

the msd 6's are pretty weak ignitions. as cylinder pressure increase they can't "light the fire" so to say. We ran a 28 gap with a digital 7 with a 200 shot for years without issue. some people go wider but if it works well we didn't change it. It's time for you to step up ignitions. You will be glad. I will be selling my MSD 7530 at the end of the season. We are stepping up to the MSD 8.

You just think you've had no problems with the 6. Wait until you put a 7 on it and see the difference. Very Happy
