Quick question. When you get a converter fully seated into the pump, will it rotate? Or, do you have to slide it forward a little to get it to spin?

Got this trans back from the shop and it's sat for a year now without a converter in it. I put a new 300m shaft in tonight and put the converter in it for storage and noticed the converter doesn't turn when it's fully to the rear. When I did the video's below to show you guys, I re inserted the pump, and pushed a little and the converter started rotating. Is something wrong with the pump or is this ok now?

It should spin no matter what. If it don't spin, then something is binding and preventing it from rotating.

As above yes , even right in it should still turn. You may feel a slight drag as the pump gears turn but it should still be free not tight

That is what I thought, but didn't have another trans handy to compare to. I'll pull the pump this weekend and see whats going on with it.

I think that'd be a wise move , something not right there ..
