Which vacuum pump?

Any recommendations for brand of vacuum pump to use with a 632" C head engine? Been reading a few things about moroso 3 vane pumps and some say they don't pull enough vacuum for big cubic inch engines at wide open throttle and others say they work fine. Also read that Star pumps are the way to go. Trying to see what everyone else has experienced before making a purchase.

I use the pumps from "GZ Motorsports" on the engines I build with crankcase vacuum pumps. Great results.

If you were to use the moroso go with the 4 vane pump which is designed for drysump engines. You can always bleed off or limit the vacuum with a blow off valve. What I did and worked great for what it's worth.

I ran across this unit Saturday afternoon. It's on a very large C460 unit that will have more than one 'kit'. External wet sump program.

moroso 4 vane,and you can always back it off
