Has anyone on here tried the PBR yet and was it with a beadlock wheel or not. because I know you can't run screws and I tried a set and the tire is just spinning on the wheel. i want to see how they work. but it looks like I'm going to need to beadlock my wheel first

My first time out with the Pro Bracket Radials was the Ford race at U S 60.My junk was 1.21 60 ft with no bead locks.I know that is not as quick as a lot of others but i was more than pleased with mine.

From what I hear, pressure needs to be higher than a bias slick. Maybe low pressure is causing a weak bead bond?

I ran 18 lbs at US 60 and going to add a little next time out. Mark Miller 512 a429 heads 4.22 rear gear and a 2 speed trans.

Are you N/A?I have A-429 heads but just 466 Cubic Inches and a C-4 3 speed and 3.73 gears!!!Smile Smile

you guys running singles or doubles adj shocks on these
i like the idea of this tire , but having stange singles coil overs i have been leaning towards the bias slick stiff 28x10.5

Pretty sure I'm going to get a set after this season is over to try starting next year. Have heard good things about them, and would like to give them a shot.

You have a very nice car! Don't sell it short. It runs great. a 1.21 60 is noting to sneeze at. That was on a hot daytime track. Smile

Thanks. The old car was running pretty good that weekend, but the driver was slacking off. Struts are 3 clicks from full tight.

thanks for the info ,

new car and running index 10.00 and 10.50index
i love the idea of the radial idea but everything being new (car) and im sure be a learning curve , my guy says run a bias stiff wall slick with a tube ....but im on the fence.

i would say try the slick now because of the heat and in the cooler months try the radials

may try at some point , for now think i will stay on slicks for index racing ......seems from what i have seen radials work if the prep is good enough to remove shoes

Guy I did a pontiac for is planning on running 315 pro-radials. He bought wheels off Larry Hodge I beleive .Instead of the bead locks, money factor, he did an option where they knurled the inside lips of the wheel along the bead. It might have been a $30 option for each wheel, dont quote me on that. His will be a high 8 second car. He was told to glue them with the knurled being it's not a super fast deal.

Update. First outing all new car, foot braking th-400 3 speed trans all motor ....1.22 - 60ft no evidence of slipping the wheel on the rim. Will try to keep track of it a little better once he starts using the t-brake. This was after the 3rd pass on the car, no tweaking and no adjusting yet. These tires seem fast so far @ 18lb of air.
