Red line type F synthetic

Drained the fluid and pulled the pan. The fluid left in the pan had clumps of what looked like "Slime" as in Ghost busters. Like about a half a cup. The fluid was only in the trans for 4 passes and a few warm ups. I pulled the pan to fix a leak at the shifter shaft. Got any idea's.

moisture combined with the synthetic fluid.

Are you running the oil lines through the radiator trans cooler by chance?

10/4. Not sure what you have going on. Like Wright said it does sound like moisture. A little more history of the transmission would be helpful.

Just a Trans brake c6 in a 2900lbs drag car. Had it in my big Ranchero before. E mailed redline and sent product codes, seems that they have had a batch that produced similar results.

After talking to two different top Ford (E4OD/4R100 & C-6) Builders in the country,......they told me NOT to run synthetic fluid in the transmission. Plain ol' Dextron III/Mercon stuff does the trick and seems to work best.

we only use hydraulic fluid or compressor oil.

The only other thing I could think of would be is it is not mixing with some of the assembly lubes, but that does not make sense if your transmission has not been rebuilt sense you started using it.

Did it ever have Lucas transmission fix ran through it, I know many who run it and it is like molasses or tar.

Redline is replacing the fluid so I will flush the cooler and converter and start fresh. Trans never showed any signs of a problem other than a leak.Thanks Redline for replacing the fluid.
