Would you guys run the timing locked out on a street/strip car?

if you are talking street cars like ours yes, mine is and my past "street" cars were too!!!!!!!

you can run a timing locked but you will need to have a timing retard for starting, I know a lot of guys that do but you will notice it on the bottom end,.

street car. I wouldn't. only case that should be done imo. is when the RPM id Always above 3K in traffic in low gear ang low mph.

We don't run a lot of timing on BBFs. I wouldn't run a start retard.

same as mine spin it over then flip the switch no problem and its only at 32* total

I have always locked the timing out on all my race and street cars, just let it roll before hitting the ignition to start you will be fine...

mine wanted 36* and my ole cars wanted 38*  it all depends what your car wants, all this 30 or less is not always right, every engine wants what it wants. Not everyone lives at 1000 feet or less sometimes when I race and the corrected elevation is 5000 to 9000 feet

He lives in Alabama. He wont see much altitude.
