Hey guys, I need to get some bushings made for my Eagle H-beams. Machinist at work said he could do it no problem, just he needs to know the specific alloy to use. Would 954 Bronze be good enough or should I go with something else?

Last ones I did we used AMPCO 45 as recommended by machinist. They have even done alum rods this way. A little pricey but ???

Thanks for the info. Since posting this I have talked to a number of builders and they have all recommended AMPCO 18 or 954 Bronze. They are 'almost' the same. The AMPCO 45 has 2.5% nickle which will cause more wear than the AMPCO 18/954 Bronze. Strength wise it's all the same pretty much. I guess I'll find out when I assemble it.
