just another new guy

I am from Alabama and this will be my first 460 powered car. I have a 72 Maverick that I originally built a 351w for, had trouble with headers so I decided on a mustang 2 clip. I decided to go another way with the car and ended up selling my dad the 351w. I figure since the car has a mustang 2 clip it would be a good place for a 460. Right now I am on a budget so I am going to use the 76 460 that will be stock other than a torker 2 intake, 780 holley moderate cam and probaly a 3500 stall in the stock c6. I am hoping it will run in the 7.90 range in the 1/8. Basically wanting a street car to drive and run at the track.

I grew up in Carbon Hill. I live near Gadsden now, but go through Dora almost every day. I work for the railroad.

welcome to the site I also have a 72 Maverick mine is now tube chassis car with big block, was a back half car with mustang two front clip had my big block in it then also, be glad to offer help if I can.
