FOUND 429 CJ oil pump cover only....

Anybody have a bottom cover only? Used is OK. Mine is missing. Sure I could just buy a new pump but thought someone might have a cover from a pump with a broken flange. PM if you can help this cheap aZZ.

GT I checked my oil pump pile so sorry no luck .I cant blame you for wanting a used cover 460 oil pumps are expensive ! Doug

Thanks to Jack's Ford Parts. He had a cover from a broken pump. Life is good.

Yes Paul I need one or two bottom covers. My pump was dropped and has a broken ear on a perfectly new pump. It's a shame to throw it away when a cover replacement would fix it. Maybe next time you are down at Van's we can get together or PM me and we can do the pay/ship thing.

I have a factory CJ pump if you need one

Thanks , I have a brand new pump from P.O.P. but it was dropped and damaged the cover , so I just need a cover. Sounds like Paul has a couple and he's local to me.

A lot of the aftermarket versions of these pumps do not have a pathway for filling the gerotor from both sides whereas the original Ford Motor Company pump did.
A second pathway, (though much smaller than the Ford pump cover has), can usually be machined into an aftermarket CJ pump cover.

I sent over an original gerotor cover from a std volume dual-entry 429 CJ oil pump

Thanks Paul ! That cover is exactly like the damaged one I am replacing. Dual entry function ( why "I" use them) is in tact.
