Charlie

I weighed a titanium valve that Kaase offers as a upgrade for the SR-71 heads..  was very surprised to find it weighed 111g with a lash cap and 108g without that's a big reduction!

So not to question your findings but could you verify again that 178g for the steel intake valve you listed is correct?...if that is the case it's a great upgrade.. I have never personally seen that much weight reduction when going to Titanium.

I know this thread is s little, dated, but what are the differences in performances between the P-51 heads vs SR-71 heads ?
I'm setting up a 460/ 521, so I'm wondering about the HP/TQ and costs.,

SR-71's out of the box are fairly equal to max effort P-51's from my experience with a 580 cube package.
