I have a 1994 Bronco with the 5.8 engine and e4od trans. Has anyone used the Edelbrock truck intake and a cam on these motors? How much more cam will the stock FI/computer handle? Needs a little more power, only rated at 210hp stock. Thanks! (Daily use, light towing)

Does this truck have a "speed density" F.I. system or an "M.A.F" system ...? !994 came with either.

speed density system. Maybe a similar, but smaller cam like you did for my 1996 efi 460? (I sold that truck without installing the cam, got a LBZ Duramax now)

I have exact same engine and trans in a truck, best thing I did was install a set of GT40 heads. If you have a roller cam you can install 1.7 rockers to get a little more lift out of stock cam too, there are probably better cams but I went with rockers cause money was an issue with me and I already had them and another member on here (Whitefield) gave me a roller cam and even sent it without having the shipping money yet. One good dude as far as I'm concerned. Anyways back to engine, I don't have the Edelbrock intake but talked to a guy I know who has one and he said it really woke the engine up but he had GT40 heads too. I can say from my own experience that the 1.7 rockers, GT40 heads and longtube headers made a very noticeable difference in my engine. Also the guy that had the Edelbrock told me if I got the intake to install a wideband sensor and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator cause it would be needed that's how much better the Edelbrock breathes over the stock one. Hope this helps

Thanks for the info!!! Hopefully have everything ready to go within a few months (cam, cyl heads, intake, headers). Thought about a 408 stroker kit, but I think it would mess up the speed density system. Thanks again Randy and Plowboy!
