I have broke c4s with a 295hp 302 and really give them hell on the nitrous.... the old turbo car would eat a PA super comp c4 in about 75 passes

You are asking a lot from a C4, especially if you spay it. C6 TH400 or a Glide would be better, unless you are racing for big money and need every bit of weight savings and HP to the ground, with a 3 speed.

I just can't afford a trans at this time. I can imagine there would be a lot of modifications to fit the others because of size alone

Then fix the C4 and keep in mind that it has limitations.

K. What would you recommend for a c6? I will start saving for it instead of nitrous. I'm guessing I'll need one to support around a 1000 because when I add spray I want to touch that high to get in 9s but want something you guys have run. I'm open to any trans and I had a built th400 behind my kenne belled 4.6 from jw but would kind of like to stay ford this time but like I said I'm open to real racers knowledge as dependability matters most and next year my son will run this car at track to.

I would recommend a Power Glide.

Gap is 24 top 22 bottom but ford racing parts said up to 250 shot will be fine. Any thoughts?

That gap puts you at about .0055" per bore inch diameter on a 4.39" cylinder. Most of the recommendations I have seen where from .005" to .007" per/inch bore. I would not go over a 250 shot and would be conservative with the timing. Did you find out what brand and type ring pac. was used?

Try to find out. If they are Moly I would not get to carried away with the gas.

Wow that 034 isn't even shown. Looks like ordering jet kit is a must. Boy every step this cat was set up terrible.

You should post in the stuff wanted section, someone must have some jets laying around in the smaller sizes they don't use.

SS50USPEEDPRORINGS pack
16-16 3/16th
Top moly
Bottom cast iron
He suggested if I spray 250 go with bigger gap, bigger cam 256-266, and get heads ported .
Thoughts?

keep the spray 150 or less. Plasma moly rings don't like high heat, high load. blows the moly coat right off them.

If you want to be a N20 player, new rings definly

If it was my engine I would stop at an .082 N20 pill.

K thanks.
This car is just trying to be a 10.0 car only and with what it would cost to go faster safety and motor wise maybe I should leave it and dial it there for one year then decide if I want to push it.
