Never had the engine on the dyno. I had the same heads on a 429 short block, eagle 6.605 rods, stock crank, with flat tops on pump gas that ran 9.90's at 140 in the same car. The 557 feels a couple of hundred horses stronger on my anal dyno. Very Happy I think the car will go in the eights once everthing is lined out.

Sounds like a similar car to mine
86 bird Alston mild steel, struts and ladders.

Mine has an A headed 598, Ron's injection and a glide with a 4.57 gear.
It has gone 5.22 @ 134 on motor.

David, sounds like you have that car lined out. I spent the last two years trying different things on the suspension, rear spring rates, front springs, ladder bar position, shock settings etc, trying to get rid of a bad bouncing fore and aft. I got the car calmed down now since I have been foot brakeing it . I am just worried that when I use the brake the problem will resurface. I have always built and run old street cars with suspension that I built in my shop. When I went to this tube chassis car my luck ran out, I had no idea how to set this thing up. David if you could post some pics of your cars suspension and some specs then it may give me a baseline on where to regroup. Thanks

The rear is ladder bars with Koni double adj shocks. Compression is on 6 from soft (out of 15), Rebound is on 2 from soft (out of 14)
Mine bounced until I went softer on the rebound. Ladder bars are in the bottom hole of two, neutral on both the ladder bars and anti-roll bar.

Front struts are Strange single adjust. Set at about 6 from soft.
