A quick 8 or 12 between door cars and dragsters would be cool.... Top 4-6 cars from each side of the isle.

Re: I Like Dragsters.......
I've built and raced all kinds of door cars over the years but when I first sat in the cockpit of my digger and looked out over that long skinny nose with no engine to obstruct the view, the first thing I felt was a sense of being trapped lol, after that passed all the stars in the universe aligned and I knew I'd found my calling! lol Me being me, I'm attracted to the Dragster mantra of minimalistic engineering and the ability to squeeze every last ounce of power out of the car and not have anything extra that would soak up the available power. Smaller engines can be used to go faster and quicker and THAT apeals to my wallet!!! lol

Years ago I ran a Quick 8 deal every week in Florida. Ran the door cars down to one car, dragsters down to one car for a door car/dragster final. Lots of fun...the old Ranger was a knife in a final round gunfight, but I loved it. Wish we had one of those deals here in 'Bama.
Sorry, Dave....IMO, real racecars have doors. I guess it's the variety that makes 'em cool.
When I ran the 5 day Bracket Championships, there was about 60 acres of dragsters and about 6 of us with doorslammers. . That was some pretty tough sledding. As I recall, Peter Biondo sent me home...naturally with his dragster.

Re: I Like Dragsters.......
I have both door car & dragster and we run extreme 32 rules are
The basic format will remain the same - 32 car field Open to Door cars, Dragsters, Altereds, Bikes, etc. - 9.50 Bump (non qualifiers go in at the bottom of the ladder if the field is not full). $150 Entry per race , Payout is based on $120 per entry broken down 40%win-20%r/up -10% semi-5% quarters. Quaranteed Win money is $1200. Year end program pays the Top 5 - $1500, $750,$500,$250,$125 points membership is $75
DOOR CARS WILL RUN EACH OTHER UNTIL ONE IS LEFT and then that car will be put back into the Dragster side (assuming more Dragsters than Door cars). So from the qualifying sheet we will be doing 2 ladders - a dragster and door (bike competitors/members will have the opportunity to decide at the start of the season which side they want to run on) and depending on the day the ladder will be either Sportsman or Pro
Great program and separates my two boys until the end.

I've ran both, sometimes at the same event.
I like both, but the dragster is so much easier on parts.
