As some of you may have read in the October, 2009 Race Pages, my 598 project is moving along. My current powerplant must be sold either as a running engine, or in pieces, to help defray some of the cost of the new engine.

This engine was freshened up 2 years ago and still runs VERY well(used only 5-10 days per year). Oil pressure is 80+ on start up and 35-40 at 1200 rpm idle(75 at 2000 rpm running when hot). Here is a parts list used in this build.

A460 Block, 4.44" bore(have sonic sheeet & good for 4.625")
SCAT 4.5" Iron Crank
SCAT 6.8" Rods with L19 Bolts
Diamond Custom 14-1 Flattops(top and sides coated and ring lands down .350")
Coated FM Bearings thru out
Erson Custom Billet Roller Cam
Erson TiTanium Retainers, 10 degree locks and FSP Roller Valve Springs
Crane Roller Lifters
Manton PushRods
DOVE Roller Rockers
Comp Cams Stud Girdle
ARP 12 Pt Head Studs
Manly Custom Guide Plates and ARP Long Rocker Studs
Moroso Valve Covers
Blue Thunder Heads w/ BBC Exhaust & Ferrea SS Valves Flow sheet provided @:
(402 Intake @ .800" & 312 Exhaust @ .800")
MSD Small Cap Pro Billet w/ Bronze Gear & HVC Coil
ROLLMASTER Billet Timing set w/ IWIS Chain
ROMAC Balancer and SFI Flexpalte
BT Timing Cover
Weiand Tunnel Ram sectioned/welded/ported & flowed, with Wilson Shear Plates & CERAMIC COATED
2 Custom built Holley 1000 cfm 4150 style carbs, mounted sideways
Dooley 14 qt Pan and P/U, w Crank Scraper
Melling SCJ Custom Oil Pump and DSC Billet Drive
NASCAR Manual Fuel Pump
Powermaster Starter
Custom Bassett water Injected Headers(CP Style), Ceramic Coated @ 2.125"(i.d.)
Odds and Ends I've forgotten to list.

As I say, It's in the boat currently and I can start it.
Ultimately, I have to pull it to make room for the new one.

This engine puts out 840 hp @6800 rpm, and 758 ft/lbs torque on a VERY CONSERVATIVE DTS Dyno. It is very reliable at that power level(dyno sheets supplied to new owner). Requires Valve adjustment once in the summer and 1 Oil change, and that's IT(new plugs optional).

It will make an excellent boat engine, or a reliable Hi compression engine for your street/bracket car project.

There is alot of $$$ tied up here. If you would like pictures, SERIOUS buyers please email me at dscmotorsport@myexcel.com and I'll send some to you.

I will entertain offers over $9,000.00 for everything listed. I prefer NOT to part this engine out, but if you want something specific, I will consider it.

Location of this engine is Anza, Ca, half way between Los Angeles and San Diego. Shipping will either be local p/u, or Forward Air to the closest Air[port to the buyer.
