Found a block local to me that has had the cj caps done to a dive block, supposed to have all machine work completed , looking at doing 4.5 stroke build , with 250 shot on top, on methanol, I know tune with NX is a big factor, and yes any thing can break, am I pushing the limits of the factory block here , I have read a ton on blocks and it looks I'm o the edge for what I'm asking for

The fact that you’re even questioning it means that you already know that a stock block is a not gonna be suggested for this application. Even if you can get a stock block to hold together you’ll have zero room to grow and zero room for error.

How much HP & RPM?  By the way, here is what a standard-webbed block looks like when machined for non-register, flat-bottomed caps a la OEM SCJ:

Like to see around 850 on just engine and no more than 7 on rpms

Maybe do a 4.3 stroke?
